Deni Javas is an American artist whose creative roots trace back to the Pine Barrens of southern New Jersey, a landscape known for its biodiversity and fire-adapted ecosystems. This duality is central to Deni’s work, which explores cycles of destruction and resilience in the natural world and the fragile threads that connect land, memory, and belonging.

Her career began in New York City, where she worked as an illustrator and designer, developing unique lines of packaging and advertising. Alongside her creative practice, she has taught design and painting at universities in the U.S. and Hong Kong SAR, sharing her passion for visual storytelling with emerging artists.

Deni holds a BFA from the University of the Arts and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. She lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
